Cat toys recommendations – Part 6
1 CommentI have two cats of more or less the same age.
They love to play and their favorite toys are mice, rats, anything on string and anything with catnip. Having said that their favorite pastime is bullying my Yorkshire Terrier and chasing her all over.
I also bought them a 6ft cat castle which they love, they run up and down it and use it as a scratch post and sleep on it and swing on it.
Although they go out a lot they still love their toys.
They are not very keen on balls or bells, they seem a bit disturbed by them. Although they will play with them sometimes.
They also like to play with the cockatiels if given the chance.
Their favorite at the moment is a wind up mouse, they spend hours chasing it round the room, but cant understand when it stops. We often watch them from the window when they play together and run at each other and dive around and stalk each other. My cat always loved a toy I made myself. I would cut pieces from a pair of pantyhose and stuff them with other pieces of pantyhose, tie knots to close it off and voila! a cat toy. I always made them fairly small, like the size of a small plum. My cat played fetch and he would bat these around and chew them and bring them back. Good way to recycle too!
